Volunteer Greeter Training Sessions Scheduled!

Upcoming Volunteer Training Dates at the WHM

We invite all members of the community to give back by serving as a museum greeter so we may keep our doors open for visitors throughout the year.  Williamstown Historical Museum greeters are the key to the museum’s smooth functioning as a cultural anchor in the southern end of town, and our volunteers are the lifeblood of the organization.  As WHM greeters, our volunteers provide a friendly and welcoming environment for visitors and help us to keep our doors open to all for free.  No experience is necessary to serve as a greeter.  Training, support, and volunteer manuals are provided to all volunteer greeters.

Two volunteer training sessions are being held in May 2019.  In addition to the option of attending one of the two scheduled meetings, individual training appointments will be available for those who are unable to make either of the meetings listed below.

The meeting should last about one hour and, at this meeting, we will talk about your interests, scheduling for greeters, and other topics related to volunteering and the museum.  Volunteers will also receive training packets and manuals.

Upcoming WHM Volunteer Training Meeting Times:

Thursday, May 23, 1 p.m. at the WHM

Thursday, May 30, 11 a.m. at the WHM

Please contact the museum to attend either session.  If either of the proposed dates will not work for you, please contact the museum at [email protected] or at 413-458-2160 and we will schedule a time for you to visit and get acquainted with our procedures.
