Hay Day 2019! Sunday, August 11, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Williamstown Historical Museum invites the public to their second annual Hay Day Fair on Sunday, August 11 from 11 am to 3 pm on the grounds of the Museum at 32 New Ashford Road in South Williamstown, on Route 7 just south of the Five Corners.  Admission is $10 for families and $5 for individuals. All proceeds go to support the Museum’s mission of preserving Williamstown’s history.

There will be plenty of good old-fashioned family fun, with relay races, sack races, and egg and spoon races. There will be a petting zoo and the Berkshire Jammin’ Critters 4-H Club is returning with their popular pony rides. Girl Scout Troop 12940 will have a face painting booth and carpenter Norm Jolin will be selling his woodcrafts and demonstrating his skills. Chenail’s Farm Stand and Serendipity Jams and quilts will be selling their tasty wares.  There’s no need to pack a lunch with local chef Robin Lenz making her gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, and the Store at Five Corners sending over their sandwich creations too.  At the Silent Auction you can bid on great prizes like a week’s stay at a luxury resort in Orlando, FL, a night at the Manhattan Club in New York City, a 750 ml bottle of Shackleton Scotch, and original paintings by Williamstown artists Grant Sun and Bonnie Phelps Burns.

Local businesses have also been generous in their donation of prizes for the Silent Auction, which include Purple Dragon Games, The Print Shop, Where’d You Get That?!?, Taconic Golf Course, College Bookstore, Goodman’s Jewelers, Carpinellos, The Smoothie Spot, and Flamingo Motors.

A50/50 Raffle will also help raise funds for the work of the Museum, with the winner taking home half the pot.
